CELEBRITY COUPLES WHO MET IN COLLEGE

Prince William of Wales and Kate Middleton

This fairytale couple’s wedding was watched by 2 billion people around the world, and those obsessively keeping tabs on the prince know that he met his princess at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Apparently, she caused him to spill his drink at a party when she tried to curtsy. The rest is history.

Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky

It was a proud day for the Clintons when Chelsea married Marc last year. They certainly had a lot in common: both attended Stanford University and both studied history. But as for where they actually met - a Young Democrats retreat, naturally.

Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman

Elizabeth and Max met on Elizabeth’s first day at the University of Pennsylvania, and were engaged 10 years later. They have one child.

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan

Yes, Facebook-creator Zuckerberg is currently “In a Relationship” with Priscilla Chan, a woman he met at Harvard University. It seems that they have known each other for quite a long time. Will Zuckerberg’s relationship status change to “Married” anytime soon? We’ll have to see.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Brad Hall

Perhaps most famous for playing Elaine on Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s marriage to comedian and former Saturday Night Live writer Brad Hall couldn’t have happened without Northwestern University in Chicago. They were both in the Practical Theatre Company while studying in the Windy City.

Kevin Costner and Cindy Silva

Before Kevin Costner was worth millions per movie, he was a business major at California State University-Fullerton. He dated Cindy Silva, a ravishing brunette whom he met at a fraternity party. They married shortly after their 1978 graduation and had three children. Their 1994 divorce -- reportedly the result of Costner's philandering -- was one of the most expensive in history: Silva was awarded $50 million.

Howard and Allison Stern

Howard Stern and his wife Allison met at Boston University, where he worked for the college radio station. They divorced in 2001.

John Malkovich and Glenne Headly

Glenne was Tess Trueheart in Dick Tracy, Janet Colgate in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Iris Holland in Mr. Holland’s Opus. The two of them met in college. They were married from 1982-1988 and split up when Malkovich had an affair with Michelle Pfeiffer on the set of Dangerous Liaisons.

David Letterman and Michelle Cook

It was love at first sight for David Letterman and Michelle Cook, who met at Ball State University. They have since been divorced, and David is now married to Regina Lasko.
